With the sad passing of Her Majesty The Queen, a constant to each one of us throughout our lives there are some special arrangements for the next few days at St Mary’s.
- From Friday through to Monday, from 10am – 4pm, the church will be open with a book of condolences and an opportunity to light a candle and pray.
- Today, Friday 9th September at midday we will be ringing our bells 96 times for each year of the Queen’s life then having a short time of led prayer afterwards. Everyone is welcome.
- On Sunday 11th September there will be a service of Holy Communion at 10:30am, with hymns and prayers for Her Majesty The Queen, and His Majesty The King.
- Also on Sunday 11th September, at 6pm, there will be a special service of remembrance and reflection on the life of the Queen.
St Mary’s is open to offer a place of prayer, community and company at this sad time.
As we mourn the loss of of our Queen may Her Majesty rest in peace and rise in glory – we thank you for everything you have done in service to your country.
