Our annual church meeting to review the activities of 2021 will take place on Sunday 3rd April.
Easter Bake Challenge
Show off your baking skills at St Mary’s Easter Bake Challenge which takes place on 14th April 2022. There will be three categories, Easter Cake, Easter Sponge and Easter Cupcakes and prizes will be awarded for the best in each category.

As lockdown restrictions have eased we are now holding regular Sunday services in Church whilst still respecting Covid Secure requirements
St Mary’s in 2021 Lockdown – February update
The PCC have again reviewed the situation with regards to ‘in church services’ and the closure of the physical building of St Mary’s Church has been extended for another month in line with Essex Health Department and Church of England recommendations. Annual Parochial Church Meeting – 25th October
St Mary’s Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) postponed from April because of Covid 19 will now take place at 10.30 am on 25th October during the Family Service
New Service – Evensong 1st Sunday of the Month
A familiar service for many and a wonderful way to start the week, we’re now holding Evensong following the Book of Common Prayer at 6pm on the 1st Sunday of the month.
Update to Services & Hall Use
We’re back in Church operating within social distancing and other Covid 19 requirements and have made some changes to our Services as a result.

With the suspension of all Church Services, St. Mary’s is working creatively to stream services to you via Facebook Live and YouTube.
Lent 2020
We are now in the season of Lent and are holding a Lent Course each week, on a Thursday morning at 11.45 am in the Church hall, after the coffee morning and another group at 7pm on Wednesday evening. We'll be studying the Beatitudes. Contact us to find out more.
