The project to repair St Mary’s Spire is underway.  The Spire has suffered damage from woodpeckers, feasting on the buffet of insects who make their home in the wooden boarding.  Expect to see the tower clad in scaffolding as the first stage of the process before the wooden boards are taken down and eventually replaced with zinc cladding.  We will  be documenting this with photographs which we’ll add to the Gallery so that you can follow progress.
